We didn’t start Insideout Living because we had all the answers.
We started it because we were searching, too.
What began as a friendship between two people trying to grow beyond survival became a lifelong calling — to help others heal, lead, and live from the inside out.
Our Story — Where Healing Meets Legacy
Two lives. One vision.
A shared journey from performance to presence — and the creation of a space where transformation begins within.
We grew up in the same town, traveling in different circles, until a reconnection years later brought us together. That reunion held more than we could have imagined — as we were both tangled, striving, and pretending everything was alright. What we needed most became our mission: to heal and restore.
From the beginning, healing wasn’t only what we offered — it was how we lived.
Through valleys and victories, we discovered that transformation is rarely linear. It is sacred, embodied, and deeply human.
Together, we established one of the region’s most respected centers for trauma and addiction recovery — blending clinical excellence with profound relational depth.
Over the years, we’ve mentored and launched more than 15 therapists, many of whom began their journeys with us and now lead thriving practices.
This legacy of leadership and empowerment continues to guide everything we do — reminding us that when healing is embodied, it becomes a generational legacy.
Insideout Living — A Legacy of Wholeness
Insideout Living™ was born from these roots — decades of sitting with stories, walking alongside transformation, and witnessing what’s possible when people remember who they are.
What began as a therapy practice has evolved into a movement, guiding individuals, couples, and organizations to shift from survival to sacred alignment.
Our work now bridges clinical depth with leadership restoration, offering experiences that integrate:
Trauma-informed psychology
Somatic and nervous-system regulation
Spiritual and ancestral wisdom
Relational and organizational transformation
Through every offering — The Second Knowing™, Safe Tables™, Couples Intensives, and executive retreats — the mission remains the same:
To restore people to themselves so they can lead, love, and live from wholeness.
With gratitude,
Lisa & Steve Lackey
Co-Founders, Insideout Living
“Legacy isn’t what we leave behind.
It’s what we awaken within others.”
Meet Lisa
Lisa Lackey, M.A., LCPC, CSAT, CMAT
Women’s Transformation & Deep Identity Coach
Lisa helps high-achieving women who appear successful but feel disconnected from themselves reclaim their voice, power, and peace.
Backed by over two decades of clinical expertise, she fuses science, psychology, and embodied wisdom to help women translate insight into transformation—and healing into leadership.
As the creator of The Second Knowing™, Lisa guides women through awakening and deepening—helping them turn self-awareness into embodied confidence and grounded presence. Integrating nervous system science, ancestral intelligence, and emotional truth, her work equips women to navigate leadership, relationships, and life transitions with discernment and ease.
“My work isn’t about fixing women.
It’s about guiding them back to what they already carry: wholeness, truth, and inner wisdom.”
Meet Steve
Steve Lackey, M.A., ASAT, AMAT, CPLC
Men’s Transformation & Identity Recovery Coach
Steve meets men at the intersection of performance, pressure, and purpose. He coaches high-performing men—executives, athletes, and leaders—who appear unshakable on the outside but struggle with unresolved issues within.
With over 30 years of experience in identity recovery and leadership development, Steve created Safe Tables for Men™—a coaching framework that helps accomplished men rebuild integrity, deepen accountability, and lead from a place of calm strength and clarity. Through trauma-informed coaching and somatic integration, he guides men to recover what success often costs: authenticity, connection, and peace of mind.
Steve works with precision and compassion—helping men slow down, tell the truth, and find clarity in the spaces they once avoided.
“The goal isn’t perfection. It’s presence. It’s remembering who you are beneath the armor.”
Men leave his sessions clearer, calmer, and more connected—to themselves, their purpose, and the people who matter most.
What We Believe
Healing is both sacred and shareable.
Change begins with awareness—but is sustained through patience.
The body remembers truth before the mind can name it.
Culture and ancestry are sources of strength, not obstacles.
When one person heals, generations rise.
These truths guide every circle we hold and every story we witness.
Insideout Living is more than a practice — it’s a way of life.
We teach emotional, spiritual, and relational restoration as a lifestyle, not a phase.
This is the kind of work that transforms families, communities, and futures — one life at a time.
